tentative rajasthan plan
we might be continuing on the trains after all...
you know, i dont understand a few things..why is it as from i read in the forums..and not only the india travel forums, that the old angmohs (like they are in the 60s) and families with kids can rough it out ..if roughing it out means taking trains to and fro heavily touristed areas, and we can't?

so i have registered at www.irctc.co.in
i have checked the train schedules and looked through all the availabe types (www.seat61.com is da site!), and i think phyz and is bolehlah!
we have also received the quote from the travel agent..and i think i much rather continue with my own itinerary for the rest of the trip. cheaper and i get to stay in my own choice of accomodations i.e. none of the big chains..good thing perhaps coz the ones in the travel agent organised portion of the trip will have us staying in the chain hotels :(

Day 5: : Jaipur to Jodphur train (4059)
Day 6: Jodphur
Day 7: Jodphur
Day 8: Jodphur to Jailsamer train (4059) arrive on same day
Day 9: Jailsamer
Day 10: Jaisalmer
Day 11: Jaisalmer morning, Jailsamer-Delhi train (4060)
Day 12: Delhi!

Got your IM via IndiaMike, I think I replied, but anyway that is if I did it right.
Our travel plan is too flexible to determine whether we will be in Rajasthan in December. But if we do, maybe we can meet up over dinner if you have the time.
P.S: I have been to Bali few years ago, I love it too, did you went to Lovina? The wild dolphin is great and so captivating.
Oh, talking about sea mammals, if you have the time, Feb is a good time to be in Phillipines to do some whale or Whale shark watching, it is unforgettable.
